WHY IS IT RELEVANT?
The hovercraft made me think about the impact of disruptive technologies. Think about how things could change if this ever became a feasible product for the general consumer. Would much road maintenance need to happen if no wheels are wearing them down, and potholes no longer pose a driving hazard? What would happen to the tire industry? What new software and accessories would need to be developed for such a mode of transportation, where your vehicle could potentially travel along three axes? What other disruptive technologies are lurking out there that could change your world – business or otherwise – and are you looking out for them?
