Trackle is a new service that tracks all of your personalized information on the Web, all in one place. Offering the industry’s most comprehensive index of popularly tracked categories, Trackle keeps tabs on everything in your life, from local, to social to shopping. Examples include: tracking your home value, crime in your neighborhood, etc. The service is built with advanced algorithms that provide a layer of intelligence to the tracking process – ensuring timely and relevant results. Users get automatically notified over the Web, email or SMS whenever Trackle finds a match.

You can even have trackle post relevant information to your Twitter account.

In the information economy timely access to information is key. If you’re a small business or marketer you probably use Google Alerts to receive an instant email or digest whenever something new is indexed by the search giant. We for example track our names, our company names and our competitors for news, press releases, or things we may need to respond to.

Trackle provides a much more targetted approach to getting relevant information to you as you want to consume it. I may want instant notificaiton via SMS when an item I’m interested in appears on Craigslist or if someone is talking about me on a blog but an email digest is just fine for alerts about whether my home value has gone up or down or if there’s been criminal activity in my neighborhood.

William and I actually first met and worked together back in the day when he was leading efforts around the WIndows Live Alerts platform, and I was working at MSN Carpoint (now MSN Autos). I had an idea to send traffic alerts and cheap gas prices to people on their cellphones, and William was looking for a great way to promote the platform. The traffic alerts program was sadly recently closed down (more) but it built quite a following over the years.

Trackle is a powerful tool and if you’re an information junkie you’ll definitely get some good mileage out of it.
